At Chattanooga State, students gain basic nursing skills for an entry-level position as a licensed practical nurse. The 12-month diploma program requires that all three semesters be completed consecutively. At the end, graduates are prepared to pass the NCLEX-PN test. Subjects include nutrition, geriatrics, IV meds, obstetrics, pharmacology, mental health and others. The program boasts a 95% job placement rating.
