Schools in Soddy-Daisy and Collegedale

Three elementary schools, one middle school, and two high schools make up the Soddy-Daisy school system. As a branch of the Hamilton County School District, students may also attend various private or magnet schools throughout the greater Chattanooga area. Soddy-Daisy High School is one of the best high schools in the Chattanooga metro area, and in the top 100 Tennessee schools.

Collegedale has one elementary school and one middle school—as well as one academy school serving students from kindergarten through to graduation. Collegedale Academy also offers pre-school education for children aged 3-5 before they enter their kindergarten program.

Embrace Your Outdoor Enthusiast

Time outside is time well-spent in Soddy-Daisy and Collegedale. If the outdoor haven to the north of Chattanooga calls to you, make sure to Big Soddy Creek Gulf Trail for a 3.8 mile hike or mountain bike ride, accessible for all skill levels. The picturesque hike wraps around a lake and leads to a scenic waterfall. For something a bit more advanced, head to Cumberland Trails to visit either Strip Mine Falls or North Chickamauga Creek Section.

In Collegedale, see blooming wildflowers and gorgeous views on the White Oak Mountain Trails, or make a full day of hiking adventures on the 17-mile Enterprise South Nature Park Loop. Getting Around Town

While both Soddy-Daisy and Collegedale are full of walking trails, the best way to get around each community is by car. Head south of Soddy-Daisy and cross the Tennessee river heading east to get to the Chattanooga airport (roughly 30 minutes), or west to find yourself in downtown (20 minutes). From Collegedale, head just 15 minutes west to find yourself at the Chattanooga airport, and another 15 minutes west for downtown attractions.
